Who am I?

Hello!

My name is Kierstynn Lepper, I am a Michigan based artist with a lifelong passion for creativity. I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember, I give a lot of credit for that to my mom, she’s always allowed my imagination to run wild, helped me pursue all of my passions, and holds so much creativity and inspiration within herself. I can think back to sitting in my childhood home, practicing drawing images of fruit bowls and hot air balloons from drawing books I found in her stuff. Fun fact, my very first art “sale” came from one of these drawings. For context, I was born in South Carolina and lived their until I was 8, during this time I partook in a Food Lion grocery store fundraiser event, running around the store hustling customers to purchase my art for charity, I don’t remember much as I was so little but so vividly I remember the sweet woman who bought one of my drawings for a whole $5. What started as a childhood joy has grown into such a passion. Present day I am in pursuit of my Bachelors of Fine Arts with a minor in Education, I hope to not only continue creating, sharing my art, and bringing ideas to life but also to spread my passion and the importance of creativity to others through teaching.

Majority of my work reflects joy, connection, and growth. I love a bright color pallet and a good mix of realism and impressionism, letting the things that need to be detailed be detailed and finding looseness in other portions, a good balance. I’ve dabbled in landscape, portraiture, and many, many different mediums. I can confidently say I am very versatile in my work and have a flexible range, I love taking new projects and ideas on, and I think very few things are impossible.

At the heart of my artistic mission is to spread kindness and inspiration. I hope my work brings someone a moment of joy, or even a feeling of confidence that so much is possible and even in difficult times their own strength and goodness can shine through. There is so much beauty in each person and the world around us. Being a genuine and compassionate person myself is important to me and if that can pull through in my work and inspire others then I think I am doing something right.

I’m so happy you are here, I hope you find something you like!

best regards,

Kierstynn <3
