This spring, I will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, this collection of work showcases my four year journey of foundational, figurative, and specialized skills. Reflecting a comprehensive studio practice in both 2D and 3D art.

Reduction Print - Practicing another technique to create multi color prints by planning out each layer and carving away at the block per color, lightest to darkest, in the end destroying the block and leaving a limited number of final prints.
Drypoint Etching Print - Learning how to etch into plexiglass following the basics of inking and printing a print to create a self portrait.
Self Portrait Collage Painting - A full pallet of oil paints to created a self portrait rendered from handmade collages of self.
Abstract Landscape - Using oil paint and a cold wax medium to focus less on detail and more on application and color, a full pallet was available here.
Triad Painting - An almost complete oil paint pallet with a focus on the primary colors, practice with mixing paint to create other shades and applying them to the canvas where values are needed.
Limited Pallet Still Life - Upgrading the oil painting pallet to limited earth tons, practicing creating different values through mixed colors.
Monochrome Still Life - Focusing in on lights and darks, learning the basics of oil painting, using only a monochromatic pallet to render a painting from life.
Self Portrait - Using value, darks and lights, to create a self portrait out of graphite and charcoal.
Graphite Still Life - Learning how to render basic forms in drawing, roundness and sharpness, how things reflect through glass, etc.
Natural Life Still Life - Using the same skills in the last still life to render more complex objects found in the natural world.
Portrait Sculpture - Learning the anatomy of the face building up from the lower layers, bone by bone and curve by curve, until all aspects of the human face were shown, created from life, observing a model.
Cyanotype Prints - A printing method where a special type of ink is painted on paper, objects are then places on top of the ink/paper and sat in the sun until the ink turns blue, once the objects are removed you get a cyanotype print.
Skeletal Study - focusing on basic anatomy and drawing the skeleton.
In Depth Skeletal Study - creating value through line rather than full rendering.
Old Masters Study - Referencing one of the old masters and studying how they rendered the figure.
Bald Self Portrait - Practice on capturing the whole shape of the head, using line weight to create value.
Full Value Study - Full value study of the male figure.
Female Zombie Drawing - Rendering the figure combined with parts of the skeletal structure for more detail and practice.

Contoured Line Self Portrait - Learning the structure of the figure, how to draw from life, and the idea of adding value in only through line weight.
Tape Shoe - Practicing form and 3d structures only using tape and acrylic paint, replicating whatever shoes we wore to class that day.
Hallway Sculptures - Collaborating as a class to build abstract sculptures in the hall, practicing installation, form, and abstract imagination.
Stamps and Prints - Learning the basics of linocutting through carving into rubber blocks, I decided to make a verity of fruits and layer my final composition out with a pop art, fruit basket theme.
Color - Practicing mixing color, picking a simple image and finding 6 specific colors within it, using the color wheel to mix and replicate the image with those limited colors.

House of Cards Woodcut - A piece to introduce us to the wood shop, cut out shapes from various machines on a wood panel which then connect to other students building a house of cards, mine is themed around the clouds.
Simple Object Drawing - A drawing of a simple object to practice shading with graphite and use of light.
The Positivity Dummy - Given three materials, cloth, twine, and paper and creative freedom, I made the positivity dummy. Hand sewn with love, he holds little notes of positive affirmations to bring light into everyone's day.

Insects into Objects - With my pick of an insect, the British Carpenter Bee, I created a pair of shoes using his intricate body designs and background information to create them.
